8th Latino Books Into Movies
Entry Period is OPEN
Final deadline is December 31, 2024
Many of us would love to see more movies being produced that star Latinos and feature Latino themes. Realizing that many movies start with a great book, Latino Literacy Now has created a second competition within the framework of its International Latino Book Awards: the Latino Books Into Movies Awards. Through this program, we have honored 113 books. The entertainment industry is a slow moving market. It is estimated that 5-10% had had offers made on them. We are not part of this offers nor track the production offers. Authors or agents are contacted directly by the production companies. We facilitate the award winning books to the studios to be consider for a movie or tv production.
TIMELINE
Early 2025: Finalists will be announced.
Webinars on how to promote your book as a TV show or movie. Specific materials are prepared to enhance your book to appeal to the entertaiment studios who will receive your books.
TBD: 8th Celebration of The Latino Books into Movies Awards
The books or scripts and their profiles will be going out to studios, production companies, and producers.
